Governors Reading Challenge

You can help your child be successful next year by having him/her continue to read and write over the summer. Your child brought home the Covernor's Summer Reading Challenge book log on the last day of school. Please keep track of how many books your child reads so that Brewster can add our total to the state number. Every child that returns their book log during the first week of school will receive a special award. Have a great summer and keep reading.

 Kindergarten Bus Orientation Day

Brewster School will hold it's Kindergarten Bus Orientation Day on August 26 from 9:30 to 11:00. Students will have an opportunity to meet their teacher and classmates and take a ride on a school bus around the Brewster neighborhood. The principal will present an overview of information parents will need to know about kindergarten at Brewster School.

Representatives from Dattco will be conducting a quick bus safety program and will instruct students how to safely enter and exit the bus. Parents will also recieve individual bus information regarding times, location of stop, and bus number. If you have not already provided the school with the blue bus form, you should drop off the form at Brewster between the hours of 8:00-4:00 Monday-Friday.

The school nurse will be available to answer any medical questions you might have. She will also have a list of students who have not yet returned their medical forms. If you have not already handed it in, please bring your child's medical form with you on that day.
